About the event
This 90-minute free workshop is for people who are interested in cultivating and integrating sacred moments in their lives. It is also an opportunity to participate in new research on the role of spirituality on wellbeing.
Our program is not affiliated with any particular religion and is accepting of all worldviews, across the spectrum of belief and non-belief. All are welcome.
Registration is encouraged but not required.
Facilitators
Serena Wong, M.A., M.Ed., is a clinical psychology doctoral candidate at Bowling Green State University. She is trained in research-supported approaches to spiritual wellbeing. Her advisor is Kenneth I. Pargament, Ph.D., who has published extensively on the role of religion and spirituality in health. Their current work focuses on sacred moments, wellbeing, and religious/spiritual struggles in coping with various life stressors. As a therapist, she draws mainly from evidence based therapies, providing spiritually-integrated third wave cognitive behavioral interventions for adults.
